• Think and plan ahead. Be sure all your supplies are available – boxes, packing tape, markers, bubble wrap, newspapers, etc. We have all your packing supplies and insurance for your belongs too!
  • All boxes should weigh 30 pounds or less for easy lifting.
  • For added stability, fill empty space in boxes with newspaper for additional stacking.
  • Blankets, towels and sweaters make great packing material too!
  • Wrap bedrails together with packing tape or rope.
  • Be sure to bag and label all nuts, bolts and screws for easy assembly at its final destination.
  • Wrap mattresses and box springs for protection.
  • Elevate furniture and boxes off the floor with pallets or boards.
  • Clean refrigerator and stove before transport. Both can be used for additional storage.
  • Wedge doors open when storing.
  • Wrap breakables individually. Use additional bubble wrap, crumpled tissue, newspaper or towels to cushion them in cartons.
  • Pack same size dishes together – wrapped individually as above.
  • Be sure to pack less frequently used items towards the door of the truck so they are first into the storage unit.
  • All boxes should be labeled clearly with descriptions on multiple sides i.e. Kitchen – pots, pans gadgets. That way you won’t have to open all the boxes trying to locate dishes.
  • Books should be stacked, as to not damage the spines.
  • Mirrors and glass covered art work should be criss-crossed with masking tape and wrapped in bubble wrap. Then packed vertically not flat.
  • Place fragile items on top of heavier boxes
  • Clearly mark FRAGILE on boxes containing glass.
